Who doesn't love a good pizza?
Everyone loves Pizza!!!
I've accomplished making dough. I pretty much mastered dough making! I don't have a fancy machine that kneads dough. Everything is done all by hand. It sure takes a lot of time kneading, but well worth it. If you want good food, home cooked food is always the best!!!
I found I like this pizza dough recipe. I have a few dough recipe, but this one is simple.
Small Batch Pizza Recipe
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dry yeast
1 tsp. honey or sugar
3/4 cup warm water
Measure the water in a measuring cup, then add yeast & honey. Let activate for 5 minutes. While the yeast is activating, measure flour and salt, add it to a bowl. After the 5 minute are up, add in the yeast water mixture & mix together. Once everything together, remove dough from bowl and transfer to a clean counter. Knead for about 5 minutes. The dough will be soft and sticky. Transfer the pizza dough to a well oiled bowl. Cover & let rest for 1 hour. Pres the dough down. Shape it into a ball again. Cover with towel, and let rise again for another 2 hours. When the dough is ready, preheat oven to 450.
You could use homemade pizza sauce or store bought pizza sauce. This time I bought store bought pizza sauce. I usually look for the ones that has no sugar. I like to use Mezzetta brand sauces. That's the ones in a jar. I also use mozzarella cheese. I usually buy fresh mozzarella cheese, not the one's that comes in already shredded in a bag. I like to use fresh, good ingredients. Then top away.
This time I used pepperoni, olives and kale from my garden. I used what I have. On the crust, I brushed olive oil with garlic powder and Italian seasoning for extra flavor and color on the crust. Be creative with ingredients! If you put love into your food, it will taste GOOD!
For this pizza recipe, I double the ingredients. Just follow the recipe and do it 2x. It can make 3-4 12" pizzas.
